This work is about watching myself mother; noticing how instinct and affection guide the frame, the way emotion tells me where to look. I used to think I was trying to capture the children, but now I see that my photographs are really telling the story of my own motherhood.

I started this series after Jo was born; from spring to early fall of 2025.
My older girls still liked to sleep with us, and the night had lots of trading places. Elle is 9, Maeve is 6, Quinn is 3.
Early in the morning, IF I could slip out of bed without waking them, it was a triumph; and i was rewarded with the sight of my babes- safe, warm, and all content- together.
Each photo in this work is a tender win; a glimpse into my prime years in babyland.
